29Why I told the Higher-Ups: "If you want my art, you handle the chores."
Apparently, it's a higher dimension. Their grand plan? To raise the "vibe" of the English-speaking world's souls through entertainment. And there I am—a creator with a complete "darkness" phobia, a so-called eccentric outsider. Apparently, the higher-ups treat me like one of the "chosen ones" (laughs).
But here's the problem. They expect a masterpiece from the start. Seriously? Can I even paint something like that? The answer is simple: no.
When I told them I couldn't, they said, "It doesn't have to be a mega-hit. It just needs to reach the 'right' souls."
Wait a minute!
Are you serious? You're saying it's okay if my work remains niche, buried in a corner of the internet?
You're kidding!
No matter how small a creator is, to maintain motivation, you need the dream of "one day achieving great success." To be told that I don't need to aim for a hit from the start is a complete turn-off.
Then, the "higher-ups" said this to me: "Can you handle all the tedious chores in this 3D world? Probably not. Focus on the art. Leave the tedious work to the specialists in that field."
Okay, I understand. I'll accept those conditions. But if that's how it's going to be, I'll push all the invoices and payments to a higher level. "Alright, here's my wish list! I'll keep adding to it regularly!"
If you can't at least deliver on this, it's a total rip-off. So I'll just accept that the deal is done. (laughs)
